چکیده

System design principles and high-level design details are described for a new spreadspectrum radio design for the 900 MHz. Amateur band. The radio is designed to provide a 10-base-T interface as the data port, and is designed to provide transport of IP-based data. It is planned to provide both stand-alone and fully-networked hub configurations. The design is based on Frequency-Hopped Spread Spectrum (FHSS) spreading. Use of Forward Error Correction (FEC) and QPSK modulation should provide significant system gain performance compared to other FHSS FSK designs. The radio is currently in the printed-circuit board layout stage.

Extracting Stable Clock Signals From AM Broadcast Carriers for AmateurS Spread-Spectrum Applications

To recover data from spread-spectrum transmissions, it is necessary to reintroduce, at the receiver end, locally generated signals locked in frequency and phase to the clock used in the original transmissions. At carrier frequencies of up to 50 MHz, the extraction of clock pulses from direct-sequence (DS) spreadspectrum transmissions can be achieved fairly easily, using readily available ICs.' ...

Evaluation Procedures for Deploying Spread Spectrum Interconnect

This purpose of this project was the design and construction of a testbed network for experimentation with spread spectrum communications in the 900 and 2400 MHz band. The current network consists of five fixed nodes and two portable nodes. Of the fixed nodes, three are located in the Purdue MSEE building, one is located in the Harold L. Michael Traffic Operations Laboratory, and one is located...

Propagation Characteristics for Radio Channel of MIMO System in Urban Area at 781 MHz

This paper presents the measured propagation characteristics like a path loss, delay spread and angular spread for urban environments in Jeju at 781 MHz. Measurements were made with a wide band MIMO channel sounder using a pseudo noise (PN) mode, 50 Mcps, 20 ns resolution and 40.96 μs maximum delay. Base station (BS) antenna height of 5 m was tested with a mobile station (MS) antenna height of ...

Systematic Design of High-Performance Smart Card with HF/UHF Dual-Band RFID Tag

Recently, there have been widely conducted researches on dual-band radio frequency identification (RFID) tag based on 13.56 MHz (HF) and 900 MHz (UHF). Most dual-band RFID tag has been implemented so that each antenna is separated in a different inlay sheet respectively, which makes the resulting smart card impractically thick, and the typical drawback of dual-band RFID tags incorporated in one...
